About Me

Who I Am

I’m an accomplished trial lawyer who has obtained multi-million-dollar jury verdicts and settlements across Louisiana. I’ve dedicated my career to representing injured workers and their families, with a focus on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, trucking accidents, maritime cases, electrocutions, and product liability claims. I live and work in my hometown of Natchitoches, providing local representation for clients throughout North and Central Louisiana.

How I Practice

My approach blends deep legal knowledge with personal connection. I co-authored Louisiana Personal Injury, a two-volume desk reference for attorneys published by Thomson Reuters, and I’m often asked by lawyers in Louisiana and beyond to co-counsel on personal injury cases here. I believe in thorough preparation, clear communication, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with my clients in the fight for justice.

Recognition and Training

I’m a recipient of the F. Scott Baldwin Award from the American Association for Justice, given annually to the most outstanding young trial lawyer in the country. I’m also a graduate of the invitation-only Trial Lawyers College, founded by Gerry Spence, which focuses on developing trial skills in service of individuals and the jury system.

Background and Community

I grew up in Natchitoches, earned my B.A. in Politics from Hendrix College in 2001, and my J.D. from Tulane Law School in 2005. Before practicing law, I taught public school in Shreveport. I’m active in my community as a CASA volunteer, a board member for the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, and a past board member of First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches. Outside the courtroom, I’m a husband and father of three.

Licensed in Louisiana state courts, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
